Video Publishing Group (VPG), along with Discreet Logic,
William F. White and Sony are providing an opportunity for
industry personnel to examine the concepts of electronic
cinematography and postproduction procedures and concerns.
On site will be the Sony HDTV 24P camera and accessories,
along with personnel to demonstrate.
Non-linear hi-definition editing will be demonstrated
by experienced Discreet Logic editors and Discreet LogicÃs
new Smoke hi-def edit solution. Down conversion of 24P
hi-def to conventional NTSC will be demonstrated for dailies
and ¦off-line² editing. Concerns with 30 frame systems
will also be discussed.
Colour correction , the Da Vinci alternative , will be
demonstrated.
